YMCA of Pueblo, Inc.,
Mr. Terry Lockwood, Executive Director, Retired
Mr. Roger Fonda, Board President, (719) 240-0771
Project Description:  NorthStar Engineering and Surveying, Inc. was hired by the YMCA to prepare detailed site development, drainage, utility, and transportation documents for this 233 acre community campus site, which includes 110,000 square feet of trails, three pedestrian bridges, a community center (with a gym, courts, pools, day care facility, and administration rooms), youth golf training facility and 9 hole golf course, soccer field and three ball fields, and two community use sites. NorthStar completed construction staking as well as construction management/inspection services on an as-needed basis for the Owner. Site athletic improvements for the project were phased to allow for fund raising activities. In the fall of 2010 the YMCA hired NorthStar to re-program and re-design the Outdoor Sports Complex (Copy Attached). That work included re-orientation of three softball / baseball fields to allow for the incorporation of a new multi-purpose track and football field facility. NorthStar was also retained to design a centrally located press box facility, concessions building with restrooms and offices, maintenance facility, picnic shelters, and play areas. Construction of the Outdoor Sports Facility is scheduled for next year once final fund raising is completed.
